screw0148

screw0148

Here is a background I created for my laptop and I am sharing it with everyone for free!  I was modeling some gears for a short animation on Thursday and decided it would be fun just to make a background instead. So I went ahead and modeled a screw as well to bring some variety to the background.  After setting up the whole composition and pushed render I realized that this was going to take  a lot longer to render than I originally thought.  It took 5 1/2 hours to render this guy out of C4D.  Turned out that I was on frame number 148 when I rendered it out so hence the name screw0148.  The giant 2700x1600 background will be available to download off of my site next week!  You can download the full res background over here on my website butlerm.com.  Enjoy!

Here is one of my latest looping #C4D animations.  It is a gold trophy that spins 360° in a seamless loop.  I spend about 2 minutes online looking at 3D models of trophies and I really didn’t find one that impressed me at all.  So I decided to make one from scratch which turned out to be a pretty nice experiment with sweep NURBS and the wrap deformer.  Reflections off the trophy were going to be very key so I spend almost an entire afternoon messing around trying to find what worked best.  You can visit Videohive.net to start downloading this animation as well as the silver & bronze versions today!

“Cutting Edge”
This ‘shot’ was taken when I was getting my car fixed last weekend.  It is actually 7 different photos that I pieced together in photoshop to make this backdrop.  The high res image looks amazing!  Download the High-Res Image here.
