Just picked up two Canon lenses this week; an 18-55mm and a 55mm. Should come in very handy a month from now when I rent the 60D for a few weeks. This photo is of the 18-55mm lens from about 3 inches away. Enjoy the weekend!
Here is a background I created for my laptop and I am sharing it with everyone for free! I was modeling some gears for a short animation on Thursday and decided it would be fun just to make a background instead. So I went ahead and modeled a screw as well to bring some variety to the background. After setting up the whole composition and pushed render I realized that this was going to take a lot longer to render than I originally thought. It took 5 1/2 hours to render this guy out of C4D. Turned out that I was on frame number 148 when I rendered it out so hence the name screw0148. The giant 2700x1600 background will be available to download off of my site next week! I had more than enough time this weekend to mess around since I had a 20 second render in C4D take 36+ hours to render. So I decided since there were a bunch of paint brushes around the house why not get out the camera and snap some shots. Not only did I have a good time I also noticed I missed taking photos as it had been almost a month. I am not sure why I finally decided on making this photo in black & white but I am sure I made the right choice after I just took a glance at the final image. Enjoy!
