Have a little extra time? Go and explore some effects or styles that you don’t usually use. You can be amazed what you can make without having a specific goal in mind. That is what I did with this recent videohive file I created. I had not used the grid effect in a really long time and wanted to see what I could make that would look interesting. In the end I made two different video styles both using the grid effect in just a few hours. So if you have a little bit of down time, go ahead and experiment, it can only help!
Oh and if you are interested in picking up this file you can head over to videohive to download it. Enjoy!
Here is a bright and colorful logo animation after effects project available on videohive. I had a lot of fun working on this one in Cinema 4D deciding how the animation should progress and eventually reveal. Some of you may have seen a short clip that I had created last week of this animation and hopefully this tops what I had previously shown.
I created three element 3d templates for after effects literally months ago and finally today videohive decided to release them to the world. So check out the videos below and you can easily see the power this plugin is capable of all within after effects. If your interested in downloading any of these you can head over to this videohive collection to access all of them.
So you have a lot of videos you need to go through to figure out which ones to included in your new show reel. Question is what is the most efficient way to get through all of your video files and figure out which ones to add and which ones you want to kick to the trash. At first it can be very intimidating partly because you may have anywhere from 50 to a few hundred videos you need to sort through. Hopefully following this format will help you figure out what to keep and what not to.
Right now you are at a really good point in creating your reel. You have been able to noodle out all the crappy files and all that is left is trim out the lower numbers until it is somewhere between a minute to a minute and a half of footage.
Here is a free lower 3rd you can use in After Effects CS5 and later. The project has left center and right adjustment while rendering out quickly. All you will need to do is replace the name and 2nd line text with your own. If you would like to dive into the project more you can click the shyguy button in After Effects to change the length of the lines to however long the name and 2nd line is.
